In 1995, Linda Wyman decided to make a website. She wanted to make a website that would teach people how to make a website. She initially offered her training for free and then she put up a paywall there. This site didn’t cost her a whole lot of money then she decided she was going to charge $25 and it didn’t do that well. After a few years, she had about a thousand subscribers and that’s about $25,000 a month which is pretty good but it took time to keep the site up and everything. She kept working at it and after a while, she ended up with over 100,000 subscribers. It’s still 25 a month but that’s $2.5 million a month for one website.
People are really tuned into e-learning nowadays. As a matter of fact, they estimate by 2025, this industry is supposed to grow to $325 billion and that’s a lot of money so you need to get your share of it. Now, there’s a big secret that a lot of people aren’t telling you about doing courses. It has a very low barrier to entry and anybody can develop a course. You don’t have to have tons of knowledge to do this because you only need to have a good platform to do it.
