π±You must do these 12 tasks before you change your WordPress theme
It can really change your site, your conversions, your opt-ins, and all kinds of things. There are certain steps that you’re going to need to take and I want to walk you through all these in this video so you won’t have any problems until you get the best results.
Changing that theme is not as simple as you would think and you got to go through these:
β 00:39 – 1. MAKE NOTE OF ANY THEME CUSTOMIZATION YOU HAVE DONE
β 01:05 – 2. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE WEBSITE THEME PERFORMANCE METRICS
β 01:52 – 3. MAKE NOTE OF THE CURRENT WIDGET AND SIDEBAR THEME AREAS
β 02:04 – 4. COPY EXISTING WORDPRESS TRACKING CODES
β 02:37 – 5. BACKUP YOUR CURRENT WORDPRESS WEBSITE
β 02:53 – 6. PUT YOUR WORDPRESS WEBSITE INTO MAINTENANCE MODE
β 03:31 – 7. TEST THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE WORDPRESS PLUGINS THAT YOU CURRENTLY HAVE
β 03:49 – 8. TEST YOUR NEW WEBSITE TEMPLATE ACROSS DIFFERENT BROWSERS AND DEVICES
β 04:10 – 9. DELETE ANY PLUGINS THAT YOU ARE NOT USING
β 04:23 – 10. LET YOUR USERS KNOW ABOUT YOUR NEW WEBSITE
β 05:35 – 11. TEST YOUR LOADING SPEED
β 07:07 – 12. MONITOR YOUR WEBSITE BOUNCE RATE
Once you’ve done all these 12 steps, it’s not a bad idea to survey your audience and send out an email. Tell them what they think of your new website. Give them some kind of questionnaire about the new website and send them something in return. Make sure if you’re giving them a survey to do, you give them something of value for doing it.
If you have additional questions or any questions to do with selling online, don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments section below and I’d be happy to help you out. Check this video out!
